Seek refuge in Allah
The last 3 chapters of Quran i.e Surah Al-Ikhlas , Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas are one of the most important duas to seek refuge in Allah for protection and help in all affairs. There is also another Hadith in which only Surah Al-Ikhlas is mentioned to seek refuge and called as “The best Dua for seeking refuge in Allah” .
According to Ahadith ,Allah’s dearest Prophet Muhammad (صلي الله عليه وآله وبارك وسلم) has told us to get all kind of protection and self-sufficiency if we recite, 3 times, the last three surahs of Quran i.e Surah Ikhlas , Surah Al-Falaq and Surah Naas.
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ* اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ* لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ* وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ* مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ* وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ* وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ* وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ* مَلِكِ النَّاسِ* إِلَهِ النَّاسِ* مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ* الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ* مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ
Transliteration
Auudu Billahi Minash Shaitan ar Rajeem
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm.
Qul huwallāhu aḥad. Allāhuṣ-ṣamad. Lam yalid wa lam yūlad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan aḥad.
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm.
Qul a`ūdhu birabbil-falaq. Min sharri mā khalaq. Wa min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab. Wa min sharrin-naffāthāti fil-`uqad. Wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad.
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm.
Qul a`ūdhu birabbin-nās. Malikin-nās. ‘Ilāhin-nās. Min sharri ‘l-waswāsil-khannās. Alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūrin-nās. Minal-jinnati wannās.
Translation
With the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say: He is Allah (the) One. The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He begets not nor was He begotten, and there is none equal to Him.
With the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, and from the evil of the darkening (night) as it comes with its darkness, and from the evil of those who practice witchcraft when they blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies.
With the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws, who whispers in the breasts of mankind, of jinns and men.
Hadith reference: Following is the hadith regarding this.
وعن عبد الله بن خُبيب -بضم الخاء المعجمة- رضي الله عنه قال: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “اقرأ: قل هو الله أحد، والمعوذتين حين تمسي وحين تصبح، ثلاث مرات، تكفيك من كل شيء
رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال حديث حسن صحيح .
عبداللہ بن خبیب رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا:پڑھو سورہ اخلاص اور معوذتين ( یعنی سورۃ الفلق، سورۃ الناس)۔شام اور صبح تین بار یہ آپ کے لیے ہر چیز کے لیے کافی ہے۔
رواه أبو داود والترمذي وقال حديث حسن صحيح .
On the authority of Abdullah bin Khabib(رضي الله عنه), he said: The Messenger of Allah(صلي الله عليه وآله وبارك وسلم), said to me: Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and Al-Mu’wadteen (i.e. Surah Al-Falaq, Surah Al-Nas) three times in the evening and in the morning. This will suffice you for everything.[Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi]
