making dua secretly
اپنے پروردگار سے عاجزی سے اور چپکے چپکے دعائیں مانگا کرو۔ وہ حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا
(O mankind!) Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret. Lo! He loveth not aggressors. (Quran 7:55)
Above verse of Quran clearly tells us that we should ask Allah (subhanahu wa ta ala) with humility and secretly. It is not advisable to ask Allah (subhanahu wa ta ala) with audible or loud voice (except for certain circumstances).
Famous scholar Hassan Al-Basari said that makeing dua with low voice is 70 times better than saying it in loud voice
In tafseer of Quran called Marifal-Quran it is written that at sometimes we can say dua in loud voice like when a person is leading a dua in a large gathering and he says it loudly so everyone can hear and say ameen.
