40 Easy Ahadith
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ. اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.

Toggle1. Sincerity and Intentions (إخلاص و نية)
“إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ، وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى” “Actions are but by intentions, and every man shall have only that which he intended.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1, Sahih Muslim 1907)
“مَنْ أَرَادَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ، أَرَادَهُ اللَّهُ لِنَفْسِهِ” “Whoever seeks the Face of Allah, Allah desires good for him.” (Musnad Ahmad 23805)
“الدِّينُ النَّصِيحَةُ” “The religion is sincere advice.” (Sahih Muslim 55)
2. Manners and Character (أخلاق)
“خِيَارُكُمْ أَحَاسِنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا” “The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3559)
“تَبَسُّمُكَ فِي وَجْهِ أَخِيكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ” “Your smiling in the face of your brother is charity.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1956)
“مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ” “Nothing is heavier on the scale than good character.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2003)
3. Prayer and Worship (الصلاة و العبادة)
“جُعِلَتْ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ” “The coolness of my eyes is in the prayer.” (Sunan an-Nasa’i 3939)
“إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الصَّلَاةُ” “The first thing a person will be held accountable for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 413)
“صَلُّوا كَمَا رَأَيْتُمُونِي أُصَلِّي” “Pray as you have seen me praying.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 631)
4. Love and Brotherhood (محبة و أخوة)
“لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ” “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 13, Sahih Muslim 45)
“الْمُؤْمِنُونَ تَرَاحُمُهُمْ وَتَوَادُّهُمْ كَجَسَدٍ وَاحِدٍ” “The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are like one body.” (Sahih Muslim 2586)
“تَهَادَوْا تَحَابُّوا” “Give gifts and you will love one another.” (Adab al-Mufrad 594)
5. Helping and Serving Others (مساعدة الآخرين)
“مَنْ فَرَّجَ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ كُرْبَةً، فَرَّجَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً” “Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship, Allah will relieve him of a hardship.” (Sahih Muslim 2699)
“وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ” “Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.” (Sahih Muslim 2699)
“أَطْعِمُوا الْجَائِعَ، وَعُودُوا الْمَرِيضَ، وَفُكُّوا الْعَانِيَ” “Feed the hungry, visit the sick, and free the captives.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5373)
6. Speech and Silence (الكلام و الصمت)
“مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ” “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6136, Sahih Muslim 47)
“كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ” “It is enough sin for a man to relate everything he hears.” (Sahih Muslim 5)
“أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَانَكَ” “Restrain your tongue.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2410)
7. Gratitude and Contentment (شكر و قناعة)
“مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرِ النَّاسَ لَا يَشْكُرِ اللَّهَ” “He who does not thank people has not thanked Allah.” (Sunan Abi Dawood 4811)
“انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ” “Look at those below you, not those above you.” (Sahih Muslim 2963)
“الْقَنَاعَةُ كَنْزٌ لَا يَنْفَدُ” “Contentment is a treasure that never ends.” (Al-Bayhaqi Shu’ab al-Iman 9295)
8. Tawheed and Belief (التوحيد و الإيمان)
“قُلْ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَقِمْ” “Say: I believe in Allah, and then remain steadfast.” (Sahih Muslim 38)
“مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ” “Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.” (Sahih Muslim 26)
“اللَّهُ أَرْحَمُ بِعِبَادِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ بِوَلَدِهَا” “Allah is more merciful to His servants than this mother is to her child.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5999)
9. Mercy and Kindness (رحمة)
“مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمْ لَا يُرْحَمْ” “He who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6013)
“إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ” “Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness.” (Sahih Muslim 2593)
“ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ” “Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One above the heavens will show mercy to you.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1924)
10. Knowledge and Learning (العلم)
“طَلَبُ الْعِلْمِ فَرِيضَةٌ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ” “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Sunan Ibn Majah 224)
“مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا، سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ” “Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.” (Sahih Muslim 2699)
“الْعُلَمَاءُ وَرَثَةُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ” “The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets.” (Sunan Abi Dawood 3641)
11. Purification and Cleanliness (الطهارة)
“الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ” “Cleanliness is half of faith.” (Sahih Muslim 223)
“إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ” “Indeed, Allah loves those who repent and purify themselves.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:222)
“السِّوَاكُ مَطْهَرَةٌ لِلْفَمِ، مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ” “The siwak cleanses the mouth and pleases the Lord.” (Sunan an-Nasa’i 5)
12. Forgiveness and Patience (الصبر و المغفرة)
“لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ، إِنَّمَا الشَّدِيدُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ” “The strong is not the one who overcomes others, but the one who controls himself in anger.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6114)
“ارْحَمْ تُرْحَمْ، وَاغْفِرْ يُغْفَرْ لَكَ” “Show mercy so you may be shown mercy; forgive so you may be forgiven.” (Musnad Ahmad 7001)
“وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ” “And patience is light.” (Sahih Muslim 223)
13. Time and Accountability (الزمن و الحساب)
“اغْتَنِمْ خَمْسًا قَبْلَ خَمْسٍ” “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age…” (Al-Hakim, Sahih)
“لَا تَزُولُ قَدَمَا عَبْدٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ…” “A servant’s feet will not move on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about…” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2417)
“نِعْمَتَانِ مَغْبُونٌ فِيهِمَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ: الصِّحَّةُ وَالْفَرَاغُ” “Two blessings which many people waste: health and free time.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6412)
40. Bonus: Comprehensive Hadith
“إِنَّ الْحَلَالَ بَيِّنٌ وَإِنَّ الْحَرَامَ بَيِّنٌ…” “Indeed the lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear…” (Sahih al-Bukhari 52, Sahih Muslim 1599)

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ. اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ.
